In a significant step toward career development and employee recognition, Econ Group has promoted plant operator Joe to the position of Demolition Site Supervisor. The promotion, in recognition of his exceptional skills and leadership qualities, highlights both the individual’s growth and the company’s commitment to creating clear career pathways for its employees.
Joe has been with the business for just over a year, initially joining as a Demolition Plant Operator. Throughout his tenure, Joe has demonstrated exceptional skill in equipment operation, as well as leadership qualities in managing on-site teams. His promotion comes after completing his CCDO Gold card training course and a period of mentoring and hands-on experience, positioning him to oversee site safety and work as part of our frontline leadership team.
“We are thrilled to promote Joe to Site Supervisor. This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of his dedication, hard work, and leadership ability,” said Chris Searle, Resources Manager. “It also underscores the importance of building clear career paths for our staff. Our goal is not just to train and hire talent but to invest in our people’s futures, providing them with the opportunities and support to grow within our company.”
Chris continued, “Building a strong team requires more than just recruitment. It’s about fostering an environment where employees can develop their skills, take on new challenges, and ultimately step into roles of greater responsibility. Joe is a great example of what happens when you invest in your people and help them reach their potential.”
“I’m excited for this new challenge and the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of the business,” said Joe. “I’ve learned so much from the team and the leadership team here, and I’m looking forward to taking on this new responsibility and helping ensure that our projects run smoothly and safely with other frontline leaders and managers.”
The promotion also aligns with Econ Group’s broader strategy of prioritizing employee development and leadership training as part of its commitment to building a skilled and loyal workforce.
Our Client is extremely pleased at the way we, supported by Econ, have dealt with the situation. From the moment you confirmed that notifiable asbestos was present, a focused, concerted effort has been made by Econ to deal with the problem. The client was impressed at the speed in which Econ tabled a strategic proposal to the HSE to remove the asbestos, working 24/7 non-stop, to expedite the removal. The fact that the proposal, including approval by the HSE, was achieved in such a short timescale is credit to Econ. The proactive approach, while being flexible and accommodating to allow key ECR staff to work in a safe, isolated contained area, has really impressed the Network Rail team.
