Asbestos Removal & Demolition
Econ were contracted to carry out the asbestos removal and demolition of Warwick School in two phases. This project involved a lot of “cut and carve” as the main school remained operational whilst the new school was built.
We remove the asbestos materials with some work being carried out with our confined space trained staff with their rescue team.
The soft strip of the buildings was completed.
Following that, the temporary works were designed and installed to enable the hand demolition of the cut lines.
On completion of the cut lines, the buildings were demolished and temporary weather protection installed for the remainder of phase 1 whilst the new building was constructed.
We crushed all the granular arisings to a 6F2 specification which was stockpiled on site, and used by Kier for the construction phase of the works.
"I have worked with Econ on many projects within London Underground and Network Rail infrastructure. Econ have always been very proactive in their approach to the projects and have worked collaboratively with my teams from the very early stages. I would definitely recommend them to others"
