Demolition
Three Weeks
Econ Construction were commissioned to carry out the demolition of FM Conway’s former office in Dartford, Kent.
The structure to be demolished was steel frame construction with brick infill and concrete hollow pot roof. The demolition was undertaken with great care and attention as the structure was connected to adjoining structures that had to remain operational.
This was achieved using diamond sawing and hand demolition to separate the structures before completing the demolition using mechanical demolition excavators.
The project was completed to budget and programme with no reportable incidents throughout the works.
ARCA Trained Asbestos Managers through to Operatives, Econ’s team included staff who met the following requirements: Emergency First Aid, IPAF, CPCS, CSCS
1 X 20 tonne excavator, skip lorry, hand tools and diamond drilling equipment.
"We found Econ to be talented and professional. We recently employed them to undertake some regeneration work to help us prepare for the building of our new Queen Elizabeth II Centre. Our experience of working with them was excellent. They were conscientious and efficient when working to a tight deadline and we have no hesitation recommending them for other projects."
